I am a PhD student investigating Parent-offspring conflict in the cooperatively breeding pied babbler (Turdoides bicolor). The study population that I work on was set up my Dr Amanda Ridley, and is maintained by funding from Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia and the Percy FitzPatrick Institute of African Ornithology, University of Cape Town, South Africa. My areas of research interest are in the field of behavioural ecology; Parent-offspring conflict, the effects of the evolution of sociality on animal behaviours and social learning. My other interests range from ancient and modern history to sports, especially rugby.
