Armored Brigade Combat Team
[edit]Each Reinforced Armor Division consisted of 3 armored brigade combat teams. Changes from former structures include: reorganisation of 1 mechanised infantry battalion to armored combined-arms, armored cavalry squadron reduced to troop, brigade engineer battalion disbanded or moved to division engineer brigade, brigade artillery battalion moved to division artillery, and brigade signal company moved from brigade engineer battalion.

Division Artillery
[edit]Division Artillery has existed since the 2017 reforms In the regular army, and 2022 for the national guard. Originally, it consisted of just a headquarters and headquarters battery, but will have control over the three brigade field artillery battalions and support elements. The division artillery sees the formation of a new brigade support battalion.

Engineer Brigade
[edit]The Engineer Brigade will be a brand new formation for heavy divisions, a resuscitation from the old armored division engineer brigades of the early 2000s. The brigade will consist of four engineer battalions (three from the brigade combat teams, and one from the corps engineer brigade). Each of the former brigade engineer battalions will be organised similarly, while the division engineer battalion will be bridge-focused.

There will be eight heavy CBS: 1st Armored, 1st Cavalry, 1st Infantry, 2nd Infantry, 3rd Infantry, 4th Infantry, 12th Combat Aviation, and 16th Combat Aviation brigades. The heavy type will be lose one battalion (general support) compared to their current structure. The brigade assault helicopter battalion will subsequently almost double in size, adding a heavy lift and air ambulance company to its structure from the former general support battalion.[2][3]
