If you would like to find the sources used in a map please see the history section of the relevant Module, and the talkpage of either the Module or the Template (should be the same page, and in Syria's case redirects to something in the talk page space). Also note that the two maps that span more than one country rely on the modules for for those countries (e.g. File:Syrian,_Iraqi,_and_Lebanese_insurgencies.png's Syria section is based on the Syria module.
