Hi there!

While I know that Commons is a valuable resource as a standalone image archive, I am not here for this purpose. I am here because Commons is the image repository for Wikipedia. I add images here because that's the way we add images to Wikipedia.

I aplaud the efforts of those who labor here to make Commons a better image repository, and I will be happy if my images contribute to this, but it is not my work, or my goal. In particular, I do not understand the image categorization system even after a hour's study, so I do not participate in it.
