Torfajökull

Deutsch: Torfajökull ist ein teilweise subglazialer Zentralvulkan im Süden von Island. Er hat mit seinen Ausbrüchen das größte Rhyolith-Gebiet Islands produziert, in dessen Mitte die Torfajökull-Caldera mit Landmannalaugar liegt.

English: Torfajökull is a central volcano in the south of Iceland which is partly covered by the glacier of the same name. The region around it is the biggest area of predominantly rhyolitic rocks in Iceland.
