Why does this template even exist when the "SVG 1.2 Full" specification (which is linked to) was never finalized or adopted as a standard? Only "SVG 1.2 Tiny" is an actual standard... AnonMoos (talk) 01:30, 14 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The argument is irrelevant. There are problematic extensions (mostly associated with Inkscape), but since they were at the time branded as “SVG 1.2”, hence the name. Would you prefer to call the template {{FlowRoot}}? Or {{FlowRegion}}? I don’t see any constructive proposal. Incnis Mrsi (talk) 07:14, 14 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The wording of the template makes it sound like SVG 1.2 is an official thing, and it's the fault of the "wiki engine" for not supporting it, but that's not the case. Only SVG 1.2 Tiny is an official thing -- all other SVG 1.2 is merely an informally proposed thing. The template name could also give such a misleading impression.
