This template will add CC BY-SA 4.0 (and a GFDL 1.2 or later) license to a screenshot of a Wikimedia project (e.g., Wikipedia). The image is added to categories CC-BY-SA-4.0, GFDL, GPL, and All Wikimedia screenshots, and a (hidden) machine readable license indicates "screenshot".
If the screenshot contains any picture hosted in Commons, you should credit them properly (adding the link and author, in the "author" field at the "Information" template, as additional licensing), or elsewhere, avoid its displaying. Notice that if you taken a screenshot of any Wikipedia that allows Fair use, you should avoid capturing any non-free picture depicted in the screenshot; if the screenshot contains any non-free picture depicted (uploaded locally and tagged as Fair use), you shouldn't upload the screenshot to Commons, even if the main subject is the browser or tool rather than the Wikipedia screenshot itself ("de minimis" does not apply). If you really need to upload your screenshot with a non-free picture, you must crop out the non-free picture.
TemplateData is a way to store information about template parameters (the description of those and of the whole template) for both humans and machines. It is used by VisualEditor and possibly other tools like Upload Wizard.
Existing template documentation
At Wikimedia Commons, it is recommended to use {{TemplateBox}} with either useTemplateData=1 or useTemplateData=only on the /doc subpage and transcluding it with {{Documentation}} into the template. <nowiki>-tags can be wrapped around the arguments, if required, to avoid templates being expanded.
Newly created template documentation and imports
Another option, especially for imported templates, or for users with JSON experience, is placing raw <templatedata>-tags into the Wikitext of the template, as described in various Wikipediae.
