This template is added to the monthly or language category for the picture of the day and is used for easier navigation within the category.

The template automatically sets the following categories:

Usage in language category

* Category:Potd templates by language

Usage in monthly category

* Category:Potd templates by month

Here the template is used in all subcategories of Category:Potd templates by language. Four blocks are displayed:
