The template automatically sets the following categories:
[[Category:Year-Month-Day]] [[Category:Month Year photographs]] [[Category:Photographs by date]] [[Category:Photographs taken on Day Month]]
Usage

The parameters are optional if the name of the category page that the template is placed on ends with a date of the format YYYY-MM-DD. For example, when placed on Category:Photographs taken on 2025-01-04, the template will automatically detect that the year is "2025", the month "01", and the day "04".
