This work from the United Arab Emirates was created prior to 1 March 1993 and is in the public domain because it was created or published before the Federal Law No. 40 for the Year 1992 on copyight came into effect and the 1992 copyright law did not restore protection to already-completed or published works. Although the 1992 law was repealed by Federal Law No. 7 for the Year 2002 and Federal Decree-Law No. 38 of 2021 on Copyrights and Neighboring Rights, both of these laws make it explicitly clear (Art. 3) that they do not retroactively renew the copyright of works already in the public domain on the date of its entry into force.
