You can nominate images you think are unnecessary for Commons:deletion requests, with {{Delete}}. However, if the image depicts something significant and/or unique, the result will likely be a keep. / Fred Chess 17:01, 16 February 2007 (UTC)

Phimosis

Can I recommend that my image of an example of Phimosis in an adult erect penis is added to this page. There are no examples of this condition here, and I was looking for one when I found none was here, so added my own. Image:Phimosis.jpg

Flaccid vs. erect comparison

In my opinion there are two flaws in the flaccid and erect image by Clawed: 1. The flaccid stage is much closer than the erect, angle and distance of the camera are different. At a first glance it looks like only the shape changes, not the size. 2. The image quality is poor. The erect stage is even a bit distorted. Therefore, I propose another picture: Image:Human_penis_flaccid_and_erect.jpg. It is not perfect, but I think it is better than the previous image.

We need more penises!

Some categories (especially medical conditions) are still not well documented. There are now thousands of general purpose images, to find some of them search for File:penis and then try other languages and synonyms

Currently we have have just 18 pictures of male genitals and just one „educational video file of an Ejaculating Penis“ in this category and maybe 20 more in other categories. Right now there are 157.077 Users in Wikimedia Commons. If we assume, that 50% are male, just 0,03% of them showed their sex! So much the worse: users like Robert Fuller, who worked hard to improve this all-important collection got blocked! It's a shame!
Consider how many pictures of penises are still missing: different hair colors (and of course no hair at all too), different color of the skin, different sizes (image-size as well as ...), different ages (there is no picture of a pre-teen's genital ... badly needed in the article Child pornography, for example), different piercings, circumcised/non-circumcised, and we all know: there is more than flaccid and erect. Of course we also need pictures of all the nice things you can do with a penis (a good example is this picture ... no serious encyclopedia can go without stuff like this).
You might think there is no requirement for all these Images; that's wrong! No article about ... let's say China ... is complete without a picture of a chinese man's penis! And I don't talk about anatomic drawings or graphics (like this one, for example) Who needs that crap? We want color photos and movies!
So please assist the Pornpedia Wikipedia project! Upload photos of your penis (I'm sure yours is unique and the most beautiful of all), shoot yourself jerking off or having sex! It's all in the name of science and knowledge!

We need more penises (and by the way: we also need more vaginas)!!!

To anyone reading this: You shouldn't take MuWi's comment as being representative of Commons :-)

I think he is being sarcastic... I specifically recommend strongly against uploading photos of children for use in w:Child pornography. And if you upload a self-shot photo of your penis, it risks deletion, just as it says at the top of article penis.

But if you think that your photo contributes something useful for the encyclopedia, you can try to upload.

Maybe 80% of the photos in this category are useful, like in all the other categories. For example in the recent ones, this one and particularly this one can be useful (photos of phimosis are not so easy to find). All the porn-oriented photos are quickly deleted yet, so i don't understand your problem. Minim 20:54, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

I would like to recieve permission to upload a complete collection of my own penis taken from the same angle right through from age 12 to 16 to aid with our understanding of teenage development, and the average penis size. IP

Currently the penis page is not showing any human penises. I don't see why this has to be a racial issue. Please stop making a fuss over the color of the penis, because we humans (the vast majority viewing the page) would like to learn about penises in general, especially human penises. Wikipedia Commons contains over 2000 entries showing male genitalia. Some additional contributions may still needed in some categories, but please check the 100 or more example images below and the numerous links from this page before uploading similar material

It should say "contributions may still BE needed" instead of "contributions may still needed" in the second sentence.

In What World Is That Average?

In what world is the first penis - in the section Flaccid or Relaxed Penis, labeled as Naked man of average relaxed apperance - actually an average penis? I would suggest relabeling as "average male penis after swimming in extremely cold water" or something.
