I don't see any abandoned buildings - why?

Language information

[edit]

The following foreign languages may be good to add in regards to select areas of Detroit. Detroit Public Schools has published materials in Spanish, Arabic, Hmong, Bengali, and Romanian

  • Spanish: Mexicantown and Southwest Detroit
  • White Hmong/Hmong Dawb: Northeast Detroit (including the Osborn neighborhood)
  • Arabic: The areas around Hamtramck and adjacent to the Dearborn city limits
  • Bengali: The area around Hamtramck in the Detroit city limits
  • Romanian: I do not know where the Romanian neighborhoods are in Detroit

There are historical immigrant languages such as Italian, Polish, Hungarian, Chinese, etc. These immigrant communities don't exist anymore (or in the case of the Chinese, are now in the Detroit suburbs) but there may be interest from those in Europe and Asia.
