Move to Chamerion latifolium??
[edit]I am not a taxo expert myself, but I have noticed in the ITIS database (which is supposed to be authoritative) that Epilobium latifolium is not an accepted name. It is a synonom for the accepted name Chamerion latifolium. If this is correct this species article shall be renamed to Chamerion latifolium, associated with a new Chamerion genera category as a subcat to the existing Onagraceae family category. See here and here for further discussions. -- Slaunger 10:07, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
Further input: In this GRIN record it is also stated that Epilobium latifolium is really a synonym for Chamerion latifolium, which had its name verified April 17, 2007 by ARS Systematic Botanists. -- Slaunger 19:37, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
- All evidence seems to indicate that the current accepted name is Chamerion latifolium (L.) Holub. A reference can be found on the German wikipedia. This would warrant a change in the current category structure. Lycaon 19:36, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
- Done I have moved the species article to Chamerion latifolium. It is associated with a new Chamerion category, which I have also created as a subcat to the Onagraceae family. -- Slaunger 21:15, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
