Stamps of Egypt, 1866-1914
Postage Stamps issued in the 1866-1914 period. Egypt was under Turkish suzerainty, but obtained an autonomous status (Kedive - Vice-Kingdom) in 1867. A British Protectorate was established in 1914. Currency: 40 paras = 1 piastre before 1888.
