Welcome to Mula Mutha Nadi Darshan (MMND) is a campaign-cum-contest to document the Mula & Mutha rivers along with their tributaries in the Pune district on Wikimedia Commons in the form of images and videos with the involvement of active citizens during the time period of 15 May - 31 August 2023. |
Following are the major photography topics for Mula & Mutha Rivers and its tributaries. The contributors should make sure that they are capturing and uploading the images related to these topics only for the contest -
- Major Constructions on the river: Metro construction, Riverfront development project, bridges etc.
- Other Constructions on the river bank: Roads in the riverbed, encroachments, parking spaces etc.
- Citizens’ initiatives to save rivers: Riverwalk, Clean up drives, Chipko Andolan and Other protests
- Human activities at the river: Washing, Fishing, Boating etc.
- Biodiversity at the river: flora, fauna, wetlands, riparian zone etc.
- Rivers and festivals: Ganesh visarjan, waari and other celebrations
- Floods: Destruction and social impact, Flood levels, encroachment in the river and its tributaries, constricted rivers etc.
- Pollution in the rivers: Sewage, Solid waste, Industrial effluents, Wastewater, Debris etc.
