[edit]{{technical}} Please add:
"relgen-common-ver-v1": "バージョン", "relgen-common-dev-v1": "$1が開発・メンテナンス", "relgen-common-loading-v1": "読み込み中…"
Also add a comma at the end of the line of "relgen-res-tracking-v1". whym (talk) 09:03, 3 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Whym Someone pointed out that "relgen-common-dev-v1" must have a parameter for the name of the developer. In English it is: "developed and maintained by $1". How does it affect your translation? Thanks -- Ruthven (msg) 13:25, 3 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Ruthven: It seems like ver-v1 and dev-v1 get connected later in one line, is it? Is a space the delimiter between the two? If so, the end result might be a bit awkward because Japanese doesn't use space as a general rule, but anyway, I did what I can. I think it'll only be awkward not unintelligible. whym (talk) 10:55, 5 January 2023 (UTC)

Also three new translatable strings
[edit]When updating release generator code, is needs to translate some new strings (added in sandbox above):
"relgen-s5-subj-v1": "release of", // Prefix for release email subject string
"relgen-common-title-v1": "Wikimedia VRTS release generator - Wikimedia Commons",
"relgen-common-heading-v1": "Wikimedia VRTS release generator"

- @Whym: --Ruthven (msg) 10:50, 6 January 2023 (UTC)
- Can the first line be "release of $1"? In normal Japanese, "release of" will be translated as a suffix, not a prefix to the title of the work. Anything I can think of with a prefix would have to be an acrobatic use of language. @Kaganer whym (talk) 13:47, 6 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Ruthven, IMHO, for this improving, in string #175 is needs replace to the
mw.msg("relgen-s5-subj-v1") + ' ' + subj
and then replace in MediaWiki:Relgen.js/textmw.msg("relgen-s5-subj-v1", subj)
to the"relgen-s5-subj-v1": "release of", // Prefix for release email subject string
All exist translations may be updated directly, if this is relevant. --Kaganer (talk) 15:50, 6 January 2023 (UTC)"relgen-s5-subj-v1": "release of $1", // Release email subject string, where $1 - list of mediafiles OR text of "relgen-res-p3s-c2-v1"
- For continue this discussion I propose on the page Commons_talk:Wikimedia_VRT_release_generator#Release_email_subject_string_for_Japan_(and_some_other_languages). --Kaganer (talk) 15:58, 6 January 2023 (UTC)
