Deutsch: Die Bahnstrecke Leipzig–Dresden wurde von 1837 bis 1839 von der Leipzig-Dresdner Eisenbahn-Compagnie als erste deutsche Ferneisenbahn erbaut und von dieser Gesellschaft bis 1876 betrieben. Die heutigen Infrastrukturbetreiber sind DB Netze.
English: The Leipzig–Dresden railway line was built by the Leipzig–Dresden Railway Company between 1837 and 1839 and operated by this company until 1876. It was the first long-distance railway line in Germany. Today's infrastructure operators are DB Netze.
