Galathea 3

Galathea 3 is the name of the third Danish research expedition Galathea, which is carried out on the Danish inspection vessel HDMS Vædderen ("The Ram").

The expedition visited The Faroe Islands, Greenland, Africa, Australia, Antarctica, South America, USA and returned to Denmark April 25 2007.

Departure from Copenhagen

On August 10th the vessel arrived in Copenhagen for receiving final supplies and crew. On the 11th a celebration was held on the docks with speeches from i.e. Danish minister of sciences Helge Sander.

Arrival at Copenhagen

On April 25 2007 the vessel arrived at Langeliniekajen in Copenhagen with Crownprince Frederik onboard.
