Indonesia needs to be added
[edit]Indonesia has rejoined OPEC and needs to be added to this map. Abrahamic Faiths (talk) 18:45, 2 December 2015 (UTC)
- I reverted to the version from 17 September 2008 that included Indonesia, hoping the file format is still acceptable. Thumbnails and other image sizes should be updated automatically over the next few days. —Patrug (talk) 22:14, 6 December 2015 (UTC)
Gabon needs to be added
[edit]Gabon is rejoining OPEC on 1 July 2016. Can someone familiar with SVG please add Gabon to the blue-shaded countries on the map, and review any lingering SVG errors that need correcting? Many thanks. —Patrug (talk) 08:24, 3 June 2016 (UTC)
By 1 July 2016, if nobody has come forward to maintain this SVG file since 2013, then it should be replaced with File:OPEC 2016-07.png. —Patrug (talk) 10:14, 3 June 2016 (UTC)
Updated SVG map for Gabon rejoining; still errors in source code. —Patrug (talk) 00:22, 30 June 2016 (UTC)
The map file was completely fixed by User:Offnfopt at Commons:Graphics village pump
[edit]Thanks! —Patrug (talk) 04:32, 5 July 2016 (UTC)
Future updates can be made using the free SVG editor Inkscape, or by asking for help at COM:GVP if necessary. —Patrug (talk) 00:23, 10 July 2016 (UTC)
- Commons:Graphic Lab/Illustration workshop or Commons:Graphic Lab/Map workshop is probably the better place to post requested changes (gets more foot traffic than GVP). Offnfopt(talk) 01:40, 10 July 2016 (UTC)
- User:Gabbe uploaded a very helpful revision that includes a single line of text with the country codes of each OPEC member. (Indonesia just suspended its membership again, so the current list is: .dz, .ao, .ec, .ga, .ir, .iq, .kw, .ly, .ng, .qa, .sa, .ae, .ve) Now this can easily be updated using any text editor. Commons:Graphic Lab/Map workshop will be a good resource if there's a need for more-complicated revisions. —Patrug (talk) 04:40, 5 December 2016 (UTC)
Quick way to restore the original darker grey?
[edit]@Offnfopt and Gabbe: To improve visual clarity, does anyone have a quick way to modify the current "human-readable" OPEC.svg file (from Gabbe), to return the non-OPEC countries to the darker grey shading from all the older file versions (from Offnfopt and predecessors)? Many thanks for your help. —Patrug (talk) 23:47, 7 January 2017 (UTC)
- The human-readable file has the line fill: #e0e0e0; in a number of places. If you replaced #e0e0e0 with #b9b9b9 it should reproduce the darker grey from before. Gabbe (talk) 08:34, 8 January 2017 (UTC)
- Perfect. Thanks for the quick reply! —Patrug (talk) 09:13, 8 January 2017 (UTC)
Congo
[edit]An anonymous editor mentioned on the file page: "Congo is not highlighted in the map"
Ecuador and Qatar have left the OPEC
[edit]Meanwhile Ecuador and Qatar have left the OPEC. So please change the colors on the map. --H.A. (talk) 19:26, 6 March 2020 (UTC)
