English: Oreamnos americanus
Join us in celebrating National Parks Week with pictures from various parks across the United States. This image shows mountain goats in Glacier National Park, the "Crown of the Continent." Known for its rugged mountains, beautiful alpine meadows and lakes; and glacier carved valleys nearly 70 species of mammals call the park home. The mountain goat, a sure-footed climber on cliffs and ice can often times be seen by visitors as they traverse the 50-mile Going-to-the-Sun Road through the park in vintage red buses with roll-back tops.
