(avskrift ur Sveriges kyrkor, Stockholm 1937, s.283).
I inv.
English: Antependium of black velvet with Gustavus Adolphus's name and the year 1633 in silver: "GUSTAVVS ADOLPVS RS 1633." Two longitudinal fringes are sewnnder the text, a black silk fringe, 10 cm wide and a gold fringe, 12.5 cm wide. Two coats of arms in high relief embroidered in yellow and blue silk each have two crowned lions as supporters. The arms are 56 cm wide and 36 cm high. The distance between the arms is 86 cm. The antepemndium if made of eight lengths of velver. It is lined with red wool and the top edge is sewn with a sheet of linen cloth. (See conservation report 1966)

The antependium was probably made by Isaac Fogeth for mourning ceremonies in Wolgast.

The antependiet first appeared in the year 1675 where it is described like this: "A (altarekläde) aff Swart Velvet with H Gustaff Adolphi Nampn on ofwan to coat, wool and Swarta Silckes frantzar, below Swarta Frantzar with Twenne Kongl: wapen Skiänckt Right after konungh Gustaff Adolfphz begrafningh under lined with H Red is Sarss A "1633" (Transcript of the Swedish churches, Stockholm, 1937, s.283).
