[edit]DescriptionWikipedia in the Classroom - Interview with World Christianity MSc students.webm |
English: In Autumn 2016, Wikimedian in Residence, Ewan McAndrew, supported Dr. Alexander Chow (Course Manager) integrate a Wikipedia literature review assignment into the postgraduate module: Selected Themes in the Study of World Christianity (WRCH11018) curriculum and the outcome was six new Wikipedia articles of previously unpublished terms from the study of Christianity and one further article, comparative theology, was improved.
Lucy Schouten and Nuam Hatsaw took part in the assignment and agreed to be interviewed in January 2017 about their experience working with Wikipedia and publishing an article in this new but growing field. A blogpost about the Wikipedia assignment written by Lucy Schouten is located here. The Semester 1 assignment page is located here. The World Christianity MSc Wikipedia assignment is located on Wikipedia's Course Extension here. The Women in Red Wikipedia editathon focused on creating new articles about Women and Religion (and mentioned in the interview) is located here. |
