Description
English: Microsoft is publishing former Xbox exclusive titles on Nintendo Switch and Sony PlayStation. Why? Well, it's complicated.

Although, yes, Because Money. We all know that.

Microsoft has not had the success that they've been hoping for with the Xbox Series consoles, nor with Xbox Game Pass. Neither the console nor the subscription service has reached as wide a consumer base as Microsoft had been hoping for, and that means that the company has had to temper their expectations a little with regards to their position within the gaming industry.

This being the case, and following on from successful trials of publishing games like Cuphead and Ori and the Blind Forest on Switch and PlayStation, Microsoft has opted to expand their efforts slightly to include four other generally popular games that, admittedly, aren't the largest AAA titles that Microsoft has access to.

This is no bad thing, considering that Grounded and Pentiment are both tremendously solid games which will feel like a very natural inclusion among the Nintendo Switch lineup - Pentiment in particular feels perfect for handheld gaming on a low-power device.
