English: Preserved biological specimen on paper. Preserved Specimen On A3 Paper With A Printed Label Identifying It In The Bottom Right Corner. The Paper Is Mounted On A Larger Cardboard And Covered With Plastic Which Is Sealed To The Board. There Are Two Samples. The First Is A Main Stem Which Has Been Cut From The Rest Of The Plant. It Has Several Pairs Of Toothed Leaves And Off Shoots Extending From Various Points. The Off Shoots Are Lined With Flower Blossoms, With Some Of The Larger Ones Being At The Top. This Sample Was Found In 1918. The Second Sample Appears To Be The Bottom Of A Plant. Its Has A Section Of Roots And A Main Stem Leading From Them. It Too Has Pairs Of Leaves And Off Shoots. Two Of The Off Shoots Have Flowers While The Other, Lower Ones Have Leaves. There Are Three Colored Drawings. One Is Of The Plant While The Other Two Detail The Flower Structures. Information listed as Content Date and Place Descriptions are taken from the original specimen label. Place Descriptions are locations that are not necessarily publicly accessible within the park's boundary. Taking plants, fish, wildlife, rocks, or minerals is prohibited within park boundaries except in accordance with other regulations of Chapter I of 36 CFR or pursuant to the terms and conditions of a specimen collection permit. |
