Summary
[edit]DescriptionVác Cathedral. Chor. - Hungary.JPG |
English: The Cathedral is a historic and listed building. This bishopric church has been the fourth one since the foundation of the bishopcy. Bishop Eszterházy gave commission to Pilgram, the Austrian architect to plan the cathedral. It was built in French, neo-Classic, late-Baroque style planned by Canevale during the bishopcy of Migazzi. The statues of the façade are the works of Joseph Bechert, a local master. The big organ built by Ottó Rieger, rebuilt by József Angster in 1940. (vac.hu). - Konstantin Square, Vác. Magyar: Nagyboldogasszony-székesegyház Műemléki azonosító: 7513. A bejárat felett húzódik a hat korinthoszi oszlopon nyugvó kórus, melyen a jelentős hangversenyek hangszeréül szolgáló orgonát láthatjuk.
