A dark brown beetle fossil on tan stone looking right. It is possible to see the indentation in the rock where the fossil was uncovered, several layers below the surrounding rock.

Preserved insects from Fossil Lake sometimes show color patterns, wing venation, and sex related characteristics. Note the pattern around the edge of this true bug's abdomen. The specimen is approximately 1.5 cm long. Catalog number FOBU6469.
