Aerial view of the USS Argonne in the harbor of the Destroyer Base, San Diego (today the Naval Base San Diego) in September 1928. Several submarines are alongside, on the starboard side six S class submarines (left to right, USS S-46, probably USS S-45, USS S-43, USS S-44, USS S-47, and unidentified), and on the port side, one more S class and one Barracuda type V boat (either the V-1, V-2, or V-3). |
