English: Preserved biological specimen on paper. Preserved Specimen On A3 Paper With A Printed Label Identifying It In The Bottom Right Corner. The Paper Is Mounted On A Larger Cardboard And Covered With Plastic Which Is Sealed To The Board. There Are Two Large Samples, Each With Three Big Round Leaves. One Sample Hasa Berry At The Meeting Point Of The Leaves, While The Second Has A Flower. The Flower Samples Dates To May 23, 1919. Elsie May Kittredge Also Did Four Colored Drawings Of The Plant. One Focuses On The Leaves And Flower, The Second Focuses On The Berry And The Surrounding Leaves. There Are Two More Drawings Of The Berries In A Closer View And At Various Perspectives. She Has Written: 'Fruits Vary Greatly In Size' Information listed as Content Date and Place Descriptions are taken from the original specimen label. Place Descriptions are locations that are not necessarily publicly accessible within the park's boundary. Taking plants, fish, wildlife, rocks, or minerals is prohibited within park boundaries except in accordance with other regulations of Chapter I of 36 CFR or pursuant to the terms and conditions of a specimen collection permit. |
