Tournooivaren met vletten; Weekjournaal van Polygoon Hollands Nieuws van week 24 uit 1935.; Tgv de gezamenlijke tentoonstelling van het Reddingswezen, de Marine en de Visserij (afgekort Remavi) te Den Helder worden wedstrijden gehouden in het toernooivaren met vletten waarbij deelnemers - staande op de voorplecht van roeiboten en gewapend met lange lansen - proberen elkaar in het water te stoten.
