Description
English: Tall, pillar-shaped pedestal. Its crowning piece is decorated with a Lesbian kymation. It marked the family grave of Leokrates, son of Leostratos, from the Alimous deme. The names of Leokrates's family and of his descendants are inscribed on it. They are also mentioned on the epigram of the simple rectangula base. This pedestal bore a small lekythos with a representation of Leokrates and his wife, Nikagora. From Alimos. 4th cent. B.C. Inv. no. 10207. Archaeological Museum of Piraeus. Textː Museum inscription.
