Description

View of the "back" side of the Arctic Cathedral, the side facing away from the city of Tromsø and towards the Tromsdalen valley.

Formally known as Tromsdalen Church or Tromsøysund Church, the Arctic Cathedral is actually not a cathedral but a parish church. Known as Ishavskatedralen in Norwegian, this church was built in 1964-65 and consecrated on November 19, 1965.
