Summary

[edit]
Description
English: ChR2-mediated depolarization of PVY+PVX induces reversal in solitary males. Shown is the reversal response of a transgenic male (grown in the presence of ATR) expressing ChR2 in the PVY+PVX neurons (genotype: fkEx32[Pnlp-14(PVY+PVX)::ChR2-YFP+Punc-122::GFP]; him-5(e1490); lite-1(ce314)). At the movie start, the tail is at the bottom of the frame and the head at the top. The fluorescent spots on the body that appear during the light flash correspond to GFP expression in the coleomocytes (produced by the Punc-122::GFP co-transformation marker). The movie is played at reduced speed for clarity. Related to Fig. 3.
