African Blackwood (Grenadilla); 4. Brazilian Redwood; 5 Black Ironbox; and 6. Gidgee. The first 4 of these were made by the Flutemaker's Guild, London; the last 2, by Skowronek. The first 3 sonatas used an Italian styled harpsichord, while the last 3 used a Flemish styled instrument. Realizations of the figured bass were done by Martha Goldstein. |
