Völker, stimmt Gesänge an!
Christus will euch retten.
Löst den harten Sündenbann,
sprengt die Todesketten!

Wie der stolze Bräutigam
aus der Kammer schreitet,
so, als Sohn der Jungfrau, kam,
der das Heil bereitet;

der die Kerkermauern bricht,
um uns zu befreien
und Glückseligkeit und Licht
allen zu verleihen.

Lasst uns ihm in Einigkeit
unser Danklied singen;
mög es um die Erde weit
und zum Himmel dringen!
