Description
English:
Csongrádi Csemegi Károly Library and Information Center. City library (Est. 1955). First located in the House of Culture. In 200t the library moved to the remodelled Buch house. Since 2002 it has a branch library the Csongrád-Bokros library. Named after Károly Csemegi (Csongrád, 1826-05-03 - Budapest, 1899-03-18) lawyer, in the 1848/49 Revolution served as major, commander of battalion infantry and a squadron of horsemen, State Secretary at the Ministry of Justice, creator of the first Hungarian penal code (known as Csemegi Codex) In 1878 he was given the Middle Cross of the Order of St. Stephen. Miloš Crnjanski by Drinka Radovanović (2001 bronze relief) on south facade, Miloš Crnjanski was a poet, author and diplomat - 12 Szentháromság Square = 1 Erkel Ferenc Street, Csongrád, Csongrád-Csanád County, Hungary.
