Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Whole animal, coronal MRI movie of SPIO-labeled cells implanted in a rat heart for 6 months. The SPIO-labeled implant is the black spot located on the upper left-hand portion of the heart above the right ventricle and beneath the right atrium that does not disappear throughout the cardiac cycle. Other hypointense regions that are caused by blood flow typically do disappear as blood is pumped out of each chamber.
