Summary
[edit]DescriptionStarch granules (50707147608).jpg |
Starch is a component of the powders applied to surgical gloves, it can contaminate tissues during operative procedures or the grossing of tissue in the pathology laboratory. Often difficult to visualize in routine H&E sections, but is easily recognized by the Maltese cross pattern seen using polarized light.
