English: Once upon a time, a young games developer named Jez San hacked the Gameboy and lied to Nintendo bosses about his ability to create advanced gaming technology.
The result is Star Fox for the SNES, one of the most influential games in the console's history. Jez and the Argonauts are a fascinating story of confidence and enthusiasm. While we've painting Jez's big promise of a super computer chip as a lie, he was really only exaggerating his team's abilities, and the fact that they delivered suggests that this wasn't really a deliberate attempt to mislead Nintendo at all. You may be familiar with the less than fantastic relationship between Nintendo and Argonaut after the release of Star Fox. It's true that the little guy did get the short end of the stick here, but things have worked out for everyone involved, and there's no denying that Jez San and his team gained a lot from working with Nintendo. Dylan Cuthbert in particular has kept close ties with Nintendo, and even came back on board to work on Star Fox Command for the 3DS. Plus, if you need any more proof that he's very friendly with everyone he worked with on the original Star Fox, a photo exists that shows that Shigeru Miyamoto and several other Nintendo employees were invited to Dylan's wedding. That's pretty cute! The photo's in the links below, as is a look at the official Nintendo engineer uniforms that are shown in the video. Those are funky! I want one! Anyway, here's hoping you like the video, and that you have a great day. Don't forget the message of the story: have confidence, and you can do wonderful things!
