L'année du Seigneur 1899 le jour
21 d'octobre Le très Révérent Père Anathole
évêque de Montpellier et de Saint Pons de Thomières
(avec l'assistance) de l'évêque archidiacre de Béziers
oignit et consacra cette église,
anciennement abbatiale, puis cathédrale
et maintenant paroissiale, rénovée
en ses murs.
Étant curé le très révérend seigneur Jules Byard archiprêtre
avec la participation (offrandes) des fidèles
et dédia l'autel
au Saint Patron Saint Pons et à Sainte
Fortunate, avec une grande présence de clergé
et sous les applaudissements du peuple. Deo Gratias
