English: Cadastral map of block bounded by Canal, Q, 2nd, and R streets S.W. in the area formerly called Carrolsburg. On verso: Augt. 24th 1799. Title from verso. Oriented with north to the bottom. Watermark (regal figure in cartouche surmounted by crown). Pen-and-ink. Fold-lined. Accompanied by manila folder: Autograph of city of Washington surveyor's plat ... / Forest H. Sweet, Battle Creek, Michigan. [4] p. ; 33 cm. Text frequently mentioning "Carrollsburgh" on verso. Available also through the Library of Congress Web site as a raster image. Phillips.
