Description
English: The Soyuz spacecraft and rocket that will carry the next International Space Station crew to orbit – including NASA’s Jeff Williams – were mated together and moved to the launch pad at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan on Mar. 15-16. The rollover of the Soyuz and its rocket is one of the last activities leading up to the launch – scheduled for Mar. 19, Kazakh time. Williams and his Expedition 47-48 crewmates, Alexey Ovchinin and Oleg Skripochka, both of the Russian Space Agency, Roscosmos will spend six months aboard the station conducting valuable research.
