Svenska: FAT. Runt, skålformigt, med något utsvängd bräddkant samt på fotkant. Dekor i Famille verte ("gröna familjen") med fem figurer i ett landskap. I mitten en strand, till höger en stor tall (symbol för ett långt liv). Överglasyrmålning, konturer i mörkbrunt eller brunrött. Glasyren på flera ställen med obetydliga ojämnheter, på kanten flagnad, på bottens utsida märken efter blåsor.Den taoistiske Qin Gao, som levde under De stridande staterna (ca 475 – 221 f. Kr.), var berömd för att han visste hur man kunde förlänga liv. En dag beslöt han att stiga ned i en flod för att fånga »drakens son«, i syfte att bli odödlig.Drakens son var en röd karp och Qin Gao sa till sina lärjungar att bygga ett tempel vid floden till ett visst datum. Just den dagen red Qin Gao upp ur vattnet på den röda karpen och begav till templet, där han fick tusentalsanhängare. Efter en månad red han tillbaka ned i floden på karpen, till odödlighetens rike. Fatet visar när Qin Gao rider iväg, medan hans lärjungar vinkar farväl.Porcelain dish decorated in overglaze enamels. Qing dynasty, Kangxi period (1662-1722)Daoist Immortal Qin Gao, who lived during the Warring States period (c. 475 - 221 BCE) was renowned for mastering techniques for longevity. One day he decided to enter a river to capture “the son of the dragon”, in order to become immortal. The son of the dragon was a red carp, and Qin Gao told his disciples to build a temple by the river by a certain date. On that very day Qin Gao rode a red carp out of the water and went to sit in the temple, to receive thousands of followers. After a month had elapsed, he rode the red carp back into the river towards immortal realms. The dish shows Qin Gao leaving on his carp, while his disciples bid him farewell on the river bank. |
