Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Rowland's Castle. The green, fronted by a few Georgian and more Victorian houses. Originally a small hamlet, the coming of the railway and the enclosure of surrounding heathland led to its development into a large village. There are hardly any remains of the castle after which it was named.
