Object history Fait partie d'un ensemble de 94 portraits d'académiciens commencé en 1685 à l'initiative de l'abbé de Dangeau, alors directeur. Collection de l'Académie française. Saisie révolutionnaire. Passé au musée des Monuments français. Remis au bibliothécaire de l'Institut le 12 septembre 1803. Donné par l'Institut à Louis-Philippe pour les Galeries historiques de Versailles en 1839. 1850 : aile du Nord, attique, salle 141 dite "des Académiciens". 1855 et 1861 : aile du Midi, attique, salle 152. Mentionné dans l'aile vieille, septembre 1967. Mentionné en réserve, 29 novembre 1971. Dépôt à Paris, Institut de France, Académie française, le 16 mars 1988.
