Description
English: USGS geologist Don Swanson (in red) and his colleague, Jim Moore, discover Reid Blackburn's (photographer, National Geographic) car filled with ash deposits from the May 18, 1980, eruption of Mount St. Helens. Blackburn, who is deceased, is still sitting upright in the driver's seat.
