English: Ramparts at Gaer Fawr hill fort The fort makes ingenious use of the natural land-form. Even after two thousand years of so, the ramparts are still so steep that they are difficult to climb. The steep slope can be seen in the photo as can a defensive terrace 20 feet or so below. |
