English: Predjama Castle, Slovenia
The idyllic village of Predjama, where perched high up on a vertical cliff stands Predjama Castle. The castle dates to the middle ages and is known for its location built in front of a cave, and its myths about Erazem, the knight who opposed the czar and his army. It is an interesting and romantic sight throughout the year: in the spring and the summer its surroundings are abundant with blossoms and flowers, in the autumn it is clad in the colors of surrounding forests and it is at its most enchanting in the winter when the surrounding area is covered in snow. |
