English: Scanning electron micrographs of the freshwater ostracod (Crustacea, Ostracoda) Potamocypris pallida Alm, 1914. Females.
A and B, carapaces in lateral view. C, carapace in dorsal view. D, left valve, inner view. E, distal end of the terminal claw of the 2nd thoracopod (walking leg); see the absence of a long distal spineless point. Arrows point anteriorly. Specimen A is a syntype specimen of Potamocypris thienemanni Klie, 1925 (Thuringia, Germany); the remaining specimens are from the French Pyrenees. Large scale bar: 0.20 mm for A-D. Small scale bar: 10 µm for E. Source: Fig. 6 in Meisch C. 1984. Revision of the Recent Western Europe species of the genus Potamocypris (Crustacea, Ostracoda). Part I.
