Title
"Emperor Leopold II, as Grand Duke Pietro Leopoldo of Tuscany, portrait in field marshal’s uniform with medals and baton"
Description
English: So-called Portrait of Leopold II, Holy Roman Emperor (1747-1792), but is probably a depiction of his son Francis II, Holy Roman Emperor (1768-1835).
  • Identification proposed by user Ecummenic (talk) based on the comparison with some portraits of Francis II (see images below) and the lack of physical resemblance of the sitter of this portrait to verified representations of Leopold II.
"Decorative portrait of the late Emperor Leopold II (1747-1792). Depicted with the Order of the Golden Fleece, the breast stars of the Military Order of Maria Theresa, the Order of St. Stephen and the Cross of the Tuscan Order of St. Stephen."
