Depicted person: Oskar I av Sverige-Norge

Svenska: Bröstbild fas h., i fonden till höger utblick mot ett landskap med en vit tvåningsbyggnad. Oskar I är klädd i generalstabsuniform och bär följande ordenstecken i band: Svärdsorden, Nordstjärneorden, Vasaorden och Konung Carl XIII:s orden.

Signering utefter ena sidan: "E. WAHLBERGSON PINX 1844".

Den förgyllda ramen till målningen har överst en krona.

E.W (eg Wahlberg) 1808-65. Porträttet är utfört precis vid trontillträdet 1844. Wahlbergson var elev vid konstakademin under Fredrik Westins ledning. W hade även studerat i Düsseldorf och var främst porträttmålare och kopist.
